“ Il Duran Duran Day nasce dalla mente creativa di Giorgio Guarnieri il 14 novembre del 2011 e solo l’anno successivo, il 24 novembre del 2012, si tenne la prima edizione a Roma davanti a soli 50 fans….
Dopo tanto lavoro, ed enormi sacrifici, si è tenuto a Roma, il 03 dicembre 2016, la V edizione con centinaia di fans accorsi da tutta Italia per assistere a questo evento diventato oramai un appuntamento fisso per gli amanti dei Duran Duran, 400 fans festanti per rivivere le emozioni dei ragazzi di Birmingham
Il nostro impegno non è legato solo alla musica dei Duran Duran, ma abbiamo voluto legare il marchio “Duran Duran Day” anche alla beneficenza, raccogliendo migliaia di euro in sole 5 edizioni, devolvendo i soldi ad organizzazioni no profit quali Emergency, Medici Senza Frontiere, Amref e Oceana ”

“Duran Duran Day is a music festival dedicated to Duran Duran organized by Giorgio Guarnieri to raise funds for charity. He started working on the project on 14th November 2011.
The way to success is never easy: only fifty fans attended the first Duran Duran Day, Which Was held in Rome on 24th November 2012.
George never gave up on the idea That His music project blackberries would become important. Hard work and commitment brought` great results through the years: today Hundreds of Duran Duran fans gather together at the festival.
The fifth Duran Duran Day drew 400 duranies into Rome from all over Italy, on 03rd December 2016. Hits by “the Birmingham band” thrilled the crowd one more time. Charity always comes first: Duran Duran supports Emergency Day every year.
Giorgio’s projects do not focus on Duran Duran music only: he promotes other festivals tribute band to help many other non-profit organizations such as Emergency, Doctors without Borders, AMREF and Oceana.“
